So.....I'm sure my female's genes are really wacky if she doesn't qualify for grey and you guys kinda debated on cinammon. I don't know where she came from, who her parents were, or anything. Their daughter, ( or son, who knows?) Has a little less yellow on her face and a little less grey, but other then that looks just like her. So, are cinammon babies rare? The babies down was light yellow, not regular yellow or white. I know that white mean whiteface, but that's all I know. I guess well have to see what we get with the second baby. But, I think we are going to get another cinammon. So, you guys know for sure that my 1st baby is a girl?

I am sorry I misinformed you. You did say that the parents were normal greys, so that meant that the father had to be split to cinnamon. I never knew that mom was a cinnamon until I saw the pictures.

You can find out the sex by doing a DNA test if you really want to know.

The odds are 50/50 that the baby is a girl. Be sure to let the future owners know that she might actually be a he. DNA tests cost $20 if you collect the sample yourself and send it to a lab, so it's not super expensive to find out the answer if it's important to know.

Cinnamon is one of the most common mutations. Out of my 7 males, two are visual cinnamon (Vlad and Azazel in my signature) and at least two of them are split to it (Buster and Pip, my daddy birds). I don't have any cinnamon hens, but my two breeding pairs give me lots of cinnamon babies. My cinnamon chicks all have to be female since their moms are definitely not cinnamon.

What is Busters mutation again? I love that bird! Do you have a full picture of him? I would love to see it. He has a very nice blue tint to his body! :)

Buster's just a normal grey, but he's split to cinnamon, lutino and whiteface so I get a nice variety of babies from him and his mate, Shodu. Squeebis, Henry, Teela, and Snowy are their children. They also give me cinnamon girls, but I haven't kept any of them.

Here he is in all his glory:

He looks very cute!

How did he produce a whiteface lutino? Who was his mate?
