I haven't Ben moderating the babies weight. I'll check today.

That baby is huge, not in length but in weight. I looks like he lost some weight around 21 days old.

I love parent feeding. It looks like Bio is trying to snap their necks back, but they like it. :D

Have you been pondering any names yet?

Thank you! No, I haven't though of any names besides for "splayed" for the first baby because his feet were spread out like they were splayed lol
U defenetly am not naming him that.

I weighed the bubs! The two oldest are 40 grams and the 3rd is 39 grams. How is that for their age?

A lot depends on whether that was their empty weight or their full weight. I never get an empty weight on my babies because they're never empty lol, but they've usually been away from mom and dad for at least an hour when I weigh them. At Day 17, Shodu's chicks average 94 grams, with a range of 85 to 102. I have a much smaller sample size for Ladybug's chicks, but they average 86 grams at day 17 with a range of 82 to 89. Shodu's chicks grow up a little faster than average, fledging at 3 1/2 to 4 weeks, and Ladybug's chicks take a full four weeks. If your babies were empty when you weighed them, you could try again when they're fairly full to get a better comparison to my averages.

Susanne's chick was 105 grams at day 17, and that's the empty weight. But that was a bigger than average baby so it's hard to compare.

Oh my goodness. Day 20 looks like he'll be a problem child when he grows up.
