My tiel is such a gentleman/gentlebird.
When he sits on my shoulder and plays with my hair and/or ear he is so incredibly gentle and soft. It is so nice to feel his gentle touch. It is like a caress. I love him so much.

I love that feeling.

He's preening your hair because HE loves YOU. The love is flowing in both directions.

Yes, we are really in love. I can't even imagine my life without him.

Lucy started preening my hair a couple months before she let me touch her. She would sit on the top of my head and do it, even. Then at one point, she started to use her foot to hold my hair, and I couldn't tell if she were preening it, or playing with it.

She's only ever approached me for scritches twice, but she's quite accepting of them. Though she's too hyper to sit on my shoulder. Instead, she likes to try to get on my laptop, and "help" me type.

My tiel sometimes also likes to sit on top of my head. The problem is

that I have a lot of cur-ls and sometimes he gets entangled, then I have

to cut the cur-l where he gets entangled...
He also likes to get on my laptop... But I am not sure if he wants to

help me type or if he wants to prevent me from typing because he wants my

fingers all for himself as he jumps around trying to get hold of them!

I understand that. I got the same problem when I was trying to post a thread with the title: "For anyone having a bad day". The words it didn't like were "anyone having a".

It's pretty stupid, I won't lie. I have modded on a forum where the board was by phBB (just like this one is), and it has proven to be unreasonable and tedious, sometimes.

Birds are such wonderful pets. So affectionate. It really makes me sad and angry when dog and cat owners smile (almost to mock me) when I tell them how affectionate my tiel is (and that for example he nudges me when I am sad).
