Anyways, I suggest calling the Dublin pest control that Erik just posted there. Thats your best option so far. Theres a place called dog trust and they take stray dogs and care for them and find them new homes.

But I don't know how long it would take to really get rid of the mice. If part of your house is peppermint-free they might just go to a different room for a while, then come back after the smell goes away. Even if you pepperminted your whole house they might not go very far, and could return after you stopped using the peppermint. The peppermint smell doesn't effect humans after awhile but lasts for days for the mice so maybe for the birds too.Anyway I used a little bit and put it on cotton buds they seem to be gone for now.

Well I have a bunk bed and I sleep on the top and I now hear them on the bottom bed and I am getting a normal bed but I definitely don't wanna be sleeping with mouses. My mam put peppermint on the radiators around the house so they are staying away I used a little in my room but dont wanna put it on the radiator in case it effects the birds. Also I now know where my millet is going the mouses are taking it.Sometimes after training I just leave the millet I was using in the bird drawer instead of putting it back in the bag so now I know where its disappearing to.Also I saw a mouse in Tiko's cage a few days ago and haven't seen any in the kitchen since.

JustCoco! wrote: That REALLY IS going too far. I would suggest you called the exterminator, the rats could hurt you AND your birds. If they get a disease from them, highest chances are that they will die. And you could also be harmed. Rats are normal, they're animals, I've kept one as a pet, but wild street rats are WAY too dangerous. Please take matters and get them out of your house, for the birds safety, and yours too. Mouses you mean they are harmful to humans unless they done something also they cant get close to the birds.
