Thank you. Cloudia would never step on the perch. I don't have a problem getting the tame birds. I just make them step up and hold them. The untame birds will be a challenge. I wrapped some of the branches already. What do you think? Edit: the order from MSBS came.

These are some of the old branches that I used for my aviary. I am not using any dangerous branches. Even if it's safe, I will still wrap it because it looks pretty. The photo make it look dull but it's not. He will give me oak branches. That's good, right?

Oak is getting mixed reviews on bird safety, but this quote from http://www.birdsafe.com/woods.htm is the prevailing view: "There is some disagreement over whether cherry, oak and eucalyptus are toxic. However the wood should be safe but avoid the leaves and seeds and in the case of oak and cherry the bark as well. " BTW I frequently give my birds eucalyptus branches to chew on with leaves and bark and all. They spend their lives in eucalyptus trees in the wild and can chew on it all they want, and the seeds are part of their natural diet. Oak is a very hard wood, so once it dries out (and maybe even before that) those little beaks will have a hard time putting a dent in it lol.

lol that's good. I'm going to be wrapping it with vet wrap to make it look pretty anyways, so if it is dangerous, it will be a less risk of them getting hurt by it. I always get rid of leaves, seeds etc. I just like to use the branch as a perch.

Thanks. Here is a photo of the branch in the aviary. The picture I posted make it look ugly. I'm telling you, it doesn't look like that. Here is a photo for reference. What do you guys think? Colored? Or regular?

thank you. Not going well with the branches. My gardener put a whole pile of branches and tress he cut for a person an he told me that he can only help at 9:00pm and I didn't have time so I went to the house and saw the pile and i tried t rip of the branches but they didn't crack. They were too bendy. I didn't take any home because of my social anxiety and when i saw a car i pretended that i was just walking by. I gave up on them.
Any ideas where i can buy branches online? I refuse to try again. I feel more comfortable just ordering it. The aviary will be finished by today but my birds can't go there until i find a place that has branches. I really want my birds out of the garage. They almost flew away TWICE and Marshmallow got hurt. I thought she was going to die. I got so scared.
