I haven't looked at the information lately, but it's my understanding that a lot of birds just simply carry it without being affected, and problems come and go with others. I wonder if it's one of those microorganisms that are always in the body, and only become a problem when something throws the balance out of whack.

That's what I'm saying. But from what I read, they do get affected eventually, but until they do, it can easily spread if another bird comes into contact with something from the carrier.

How are the budgies doing... getting better, getting worse, holding steady? Hopefully the cockatiels are continuing to improve.

The budgies are doing alright. I caught it early on, so I think that made a huge difference, especially now that I know what it looks like. I haven't seen Poppy eat very much, but Beck has been eating more. I placed the lamp back on the cage for heat. I have the cage door open for them and have perches on the outside so they can chose the spot they feel most comfortable. Poppy loves this fir branch outside the cage. He will nap there for hours. Beck seems content inside.

Good, I'm glad it doesn't look like it's headed for disaster. The experience with the cockatiels was super scary.

This is good, nobody needs going through that horrible time twice!
Little Poppy on his favourite fir branch is a very sweet image... For some reason fir sounds very pretty to Italian ears :-)
Keep us updated please!

I'm glad it isn't so bad as the cockatiels! Thanks for the update :)

They seem to be doing okay. I think they are bored in their room because every time I come in Poppy serenades me. Beck seems to be unresponsive. He hasn't come out in about 10 days. I think he is in an addiction with his star toy. He hardly leaves it. I think I need to take it out. Anyway, I'm thinking about starting training with both of them since they seem to be bored and isolated. How would I start with a flighty budgie?
