That's a very good looking cage. I have always wanted that cage foru birds.

It looks similar to the cage I have, and I love it. It's on the same kind of stand.
The only difference is that mine has two doors--one in the top half and one in the bottom half. That's kind of convenient, because I use the bottom door for changing out food and water. The birds come in and out through the top door.

It's about $189. I feel if I could save for it and the shipping, I could perhaps see if daddy would be keen on having another large cage. I don't want to bring it in too fast. In addition, I only have $30, so it would be a few months til I saved enough for it and the shipping. I had $60, but 30 went into one last Breyer...

That's a nice cage! It looks like it's twice as big as the current one.

Here's another nice cage that costs a bit less: http://smile.amazon.com/Prevue-Products ... 00176F5L0/ I don't know how it compares to the other one size-wise, but the quality is surprisingly nice for the price. The food cups that come with it are sucky however and you'd probably want to replace them with 'coop cups'.

Cages can also sometimes be found for cheaper on eBay. Read reviews before you order though. That is a nice-looking cage.

It looks like both cages are pretty much the same size. The A&E cage is taller but it looks like most of that extra height came from the length of the legs below the cage. The interior height is probably about the same on both cages, and the height is the dimension that matters least to the birds anyway. I don't have any personal experience with A&E but the construction looks like it's as sturdy as the Prevue cage. I do have the Prevue F050 and love it.

It really comes down to which cage you like best. The Prevue has six side doors, two on the top half of each side and one on the bottom. The side doors are closed with a tension spring and it's best to lock them to prevent a bird shoving its head through the door then not being able to pull out again. There's also a large door on the top half of the front and another large door on the bottom half of the front that open and close the normal way with no tension springs.

The picture isn't very clear but the only door I can see on the A&E cage is the one on the front. But it's a nice big door right in the center, and it looks like it's fairly easy to reach all parts of the cage through this door. The customer Q&A on the page does say that each side has a small door in the top middle, and I think these doors might be at the very top of the cage like the one in the first cage you showed.
