So excited, I'm getting a baby tiel in 3 weeks time...
the time is right, for me now, to have one after the loss of my other two...
I was going for a rescue bird... but so slow with rehoming, it didn't seem like it would ever happen..so I've gone for a baby one... don't know what colour yet only that it will be a male and his name will be
Obi Wan Kenobi.. AKA Obi ( for the younger members... I Luv Star Wars.. hence the name) LOL...His breeder is the person who breed Sparkle and he is just amazing...

That's so exciting Jan! I bet you missed having a tiel. They are my favorite birds.

Congratulations! I love the name. I still think from time to time of getting a friend for Peach. I would love a male but I don't want to breed.

You could always get another female. It's possible that you might get some eggs, but you definitely won't get any babies.

My worry with a second female is that if they don't get along, I would have no room for a second cage due to the big aviary peach is in.

A big cage usually works for two birds even if they don't like each other very much, since they can put plenty of space between themselves. A lot more problems occur when two birds who don't like each other are put together in a small cage.

If they didn't get along at first, do you think eventually they would be friends?

They might or they might not. So much depends on the individual bird.
