So as some of you may or may not know... Yesterday was my birthday. Though I'm really not making this thread about me. This is actually about Lucy.
When I bought Lucy from Carolyn, she gave me a paper with her egg-laid date and her hatch date. By sheer coincidence, I ended up with a bird that hatched on April 30th, 2015; a year ago from yesterday, where I had been born 19 years ago.
Lucy has been with me for almost a year (I got her in July), and I have to say, she's definitely brought a lot of joy to my everyday life. She's curious, playful, and overall endearing. We didn't quite hit it off at first... There were some miscommunication problems between the two of us, but once they were worked out, she became my best friend and "personal assistant" (she actually just tries to distract me).
Both of our birthdays have were pretty laid back, which had been pleasant. Her celebration had consisted of food, lots of scritches, and playing with toys that are light enough for her to carry around (she loves to carry things). We played "avian fetch" with a plastic spoon, where she'd drop it off the table and I pick it back up.
Additionally, I've made this slideshow with a bunch of Lucy's pictures. They're in order for the most part, though I may have gotten some of them out of order.
