Its almost been a week with a bird living in my room with full permission. It feels so awesome having a bird in my house. I have always had a bunch of birds that lived outside in an aviary and it is nowhere near as fun than a bird inside. The aviary birds would fly to me from time to time, but mostly they would want to be alone. There would always be mosquitoes outside trying to suck my blood. I wouldn't play with them long outside because I would get tired of standing outside and would go back inside.
Everything is the opposite in the house. He loves riding on my shoulder and loves flipping on his back and demanding wing scratches (I will try to get a video of that one day). Everything is so easier and so much more fun. Cleaning is a breeze and he loves perching on my shoulder while i wash his perches. No mosquitoes or ants like outdoors. I can easily sweep any seeds that has dropped under the floor without any poop on the floor.
I am taking such good care of him. I am giving him fresh fruits and veggies every day (sometimes i miss a day here and there). My mom loves him in the house and nobody has complaint about him at all.

It's great you two bonding so well. thinking from birds' perspective, I think they enjoy being outside (maybe not all the time though), have some fresh air and natural sunshine. I think it's awesome for them to be able to feel the wind or the warmth of the sun on the feathers. Naturally, they belong outside. Maybe you could later include some outdoor time in his routine (just a suggestion) My birds don't want to go back in after being outdoors. I open the door to the house but they keep sitting in the porch area.

He doesn't like the harness. I got him to wear it an hour a day when he was a baby but I stopped for some time and now he freaks out when Itry to put him in it. I haven't had much success with the flight diaper. I don't really like it. The avatar harness looks like it may work better for me. I don't know if I'm going to get it though.

So pleased its all working out for you and...bird....LOL He will be with you for years.. What age do Concurs live too? Be good if you can get him use to the harness, as some fresh air will do him good... also its a safety thing for times when he has to go out of the house with you.. even to the vets etc.. I'm investing in the Aviator Harness, expensive but good...for Obi... hope I can get him use to it!
