I am on my Thanksgiving break right now, so I have a week off. We are going to go up to the Feather Farm. I've been there once. It was set up on a farm, in a really run down house they converted into a store. It doesn't look like much, but their love and care for their birds is clearly there. They have all sorts of birds there. English budgies, clonclurry parakeets, indian ringnecks, african greys, ecletus, macaws, at least 20 tiels and lovebirds at a time. They are so friendly and knowledgeable. They even take you into the back room and handle the chicks they are handfeeding to socialize them early. The first thing they do when you walk in is stick 3 or more birds on you. I love it there.
I was a little socially overwhelmed last time because there was a lot going on with my surroundings, plus it was during summertime I went, so it was 100 degrees with their power blown out and air conditioner not working, so that didn't help, but now that I know what to expect, I am eager to try again (especially now that it is fall, so it will be much cooler).
Hopefully we can make it up there this week, and I will be sure to take pictures if I do make it up there.
