I was just doing some homework with all the boys out and what do I see? Poppy in the tiels' cage, eating their food and playing with their toys! He's never been so bold before, and I didn't expect it from any of the budgies. I walked over to him and asked him what he was doing. He came out and danced, looking rather proud of himself.

Well after all the average budgie can beat up the average cockatiel so normally he wouldn't have anything to be afraid of. But your cockatiels aren't exactly average so he'd better watch himself.

No, no, no, he did. But he's full of testosterone and was "challenging" Jaid for everything, so he was preoccupied. When he realized what was happening, Poppy got a nasty, bloody bite to the foot and Speck got a belly feather pulled out. But Poppy is seriously infatuated with the tiels. He doesn't take no for an answer. I had to lure him with my teeth (he has a strange obsession with teeth... isn't that what they try to avoid in the wild?...) In any case, everyone was tired, grumpy and pumping full of hormones. But man, Beck was just being a BRAT last night. He's normally more passive than that. Poppy is easily impressed so I could get him to move around but Beck would peck him and chase him around and rile him up again. He was leading the whole episode that night.

In the wild, budgie boys probably never take the time to notice how shiny the teeth are. If they did, they'd be flying toward the teeth instead of away from them.
