For most people this stuff is "too much information". I like talking about it but it's definitely not for everyone. At this point there's probably nobody still looking at the thread but people from this group, because everybody else most likely bailed out a long time ago. The declaration of victory probably wasn't seen by anybody who would actually believe it lol.

She said Carolyn didn't back up her information even when asked and I said to her your the one that didn't back up your information and Carolyn did.And then she said they were irrelevant.Anyway she said if you dont stop this bickering you will be banned permanently and I told her im leaving anyways so I dont care what you do.

It's true that I refused to be diverted when she asked for more backup on off-topic stuff, because I had already provided enough and it looked to me like she was just trying to change the subject. But I did eventually provide evidence showing that she was wrong about where B12 was produced in the body. I also showed evidence that a 70% protein level can't be attained using natural foods, so her complaints about that were pointless. If you fed your bird nothing but lean meat you might hit 40%, and a diet like that would have bigger problems than a high protein level. You could hit 20-25% with a diet of nothing but high-fat seeds.

You know, I noticed something.
She asks other people to provide sources for information, but she NEVER does so herself. I mean, she quotes stuff, but never provides the source of the quote. Then complains if the other person doesn't provide any evidence.
Like, geez. Ever heard of citation?

It looks to me like she just says stuff, as opposed to actually quoting something. If it was a quote I could probably find the source. When she's just flapping her lips about things that she assumes to be true there's no way to figure out where she got it from.
Like the speculation that parrots gorge on seeds to get protein they can't use because it tastes so good. From an evolutionary standpoint that's non-adaptive behavior, and it makes a lot more sense to think that any gorging is done because the FAT tastes so good. But it doesn't matter because the fat and the protein come as a package in any case, and it's got nothing to do with the real subject of proving that a high protein diet causes problems.
An interesting thing is happening on Jessi's new thread. Apparently Wolf doesn't actually know much about the subject at all, and was gathering information when his computer crashed but hadn't put all the pieces together into a comprehensive whole yet. It looks like we're starting to have an actual intelligent conversation lol.

The fun goes on lol. I noticed that Pajarita posted a couple of links on the new thread so I followed them for funsies, without reading the rest of her post. The first link talks about excessive protein consumption and describes meat milk and cheese as high protein foods but never mentions vegetables or fatty liver disease. The second link talks about protein and fat but not in a way that's actually relevant to the subject. At least Wolf has already admitted that there isn't as much protein in seed as he thought.

From my understanding, they are.
Though I find it funny how she nitpicked about about you using human studies, and she ends up using one of them herself.
Hypocritical, much?

Her links were ordinary articles that don't remotely come close to the level of studies. Good point that it was human stuff not birds lol. I'm so used to using human information because bird info isn't available that the hypocrisy of it didn't cross my mind.

Interesting development on the new thread. Wolf provided some links and they were all about reducing protein intake as part of the treatment for existing liver disease, not about protein causing liver disease. It remains to be seen whether he'll agree that I'm right. But if he does, the flushing sound you hear will be Pajarita's victory claim going down the toilet.
