Scrubbing is an odious job. I read in a few places that if you leave the mesh out, nature will do the job. I have two rolls in the garden right now, the nature elements will do the job (hopefully). EDIT this method takes time (weeks if not months)

Yes, I heard that on TC. But, as impatient as I am, I will probably just grin and bare it and put in the extra elbow grease myself. However, if my aviary will be a full wall long, I may have to enlist a few helpers to speed the process along. The wood framing is probably the easiest part. Then the branches and perches. Dreading the mesh though.

I've heard that leaving the mesh outside for three months will get the job done. If you can plan that far ahead you won't need to scrub.
