Casper succeeded in doing her yesterday and she liked it way too much. Squeebis hasn't done it yet as far as I know but I think she'd be perfectly willing to let him. I don't think the boys could actually father chicks at such a young age. I don't know if Teela can lay eggs yet either, but if she can it would be very dangerous at such a young age so I'm not taking chances. The boys don't get the opportunity to make contact with her any more, and you should see how predatory they look when she's in the cage and they're on top of the cage lusting after her! The boys also get to sleep in the closet for extra long nights. I hope this dampens their ardor, but they're basically horny teenagers now so they probably have extra-heavy-duty ardor.

I really don't mind them doing the nasty with each other, but I object very much to egg-laying. Teela is MUCH too young for it right now and it would be dangerous for her. And it's bad bad bad to let siblings breed so if she did lay any eggs I couldn't let them hatch.

Right now she's even worse than the boys. I'm not letting them have the opportunity to get together unless I'm there to supervise. They had one such opportunity today, and Teela basically demanded that Casper climb aboard. He got one foot on her back before I broke it up.

I don't want to put her in the closet with him because I'm concerned that sleeping close together like that might help establish a pair bond. But once I'm satisfied that the extra-long nights have reduced his horniness then Teela will be the next one to sleep in the closet if she hasn't settled down!

Casper is one of the two chicks that I want to adopt out so he won't be a long-term problem. But I'm planning to keep Squeebis so I probably have a lot of cockatiel chaperoning in my future. Right now he's less of a problem than the others but he'll probably get worse!
