I'm going to petsmart today and I want to know a good pellet brand that I should look for? My birds aren't picky, they will have a couple of bites and then they will get used to it.
Are these cockatiel seeds good?

That looks like a Kaytee seed and pellet mix. Kaytee isn't my favorite brand for anything except nestbox bedding, but their pellets are formulated to be nutritionally complete and that's good. If your birds are actually eating the pellets this is a good brand for your flock, since any pellet that your birds will eat is automatically better than any pellet that your birds won't eat.

If you want to you can experiment with offering other brands to see if your birds accept them. Zupreem is a good pellet brand that birds seem to like (especially the fruit blend). But you might want to get budgie size instead of cockatiel size since the yellow bananas in the cockatiel size are hard for most tiels to eat. Roudybush crumble is also a good brand but I can't remember if Petsmart carries it or not. Petsmart also has Nutriberries which are nutritionally equivalent to pellets but they look like seed balls, and most cockatiels LOVE them.

I'm not sure which brand that is. There are pellets in there? I will try nutriberrys but are they expensive?

The red, green and yellow bits in sort of 'Lucky Charms' type shapes are pellets. So are the brown cylinder-shaped things.

Nutriberries should be counted as pellets not seed, so you'll need a seed mix too. I don't have a favorite seed mix brand because they all seem to have so many fillers, and I make my own seed mix using only seeds that I know the birds will actually eat. If you wanted to do this you could buy a basic parakeet mix like this one:

and add some sunflower and safflower seed to it. I also add hemp and buckwheat to my seed mix but these seeds are harder to find.

I bever knew I have been feeding my birds pellets this whole time! I thought I was a terrible person that only fed my birds seeds and didn't do anything about it.

Has the flock tried the Nutriberries yet? Some birds are hesitant at first, but I bet they'll love them once they try them.

I think they might of tried them but I offered them at night since that was the time we bought them

Tielfan do you add the buckwheat raw? I cook it but the resulting pap is not a great success. There is a very small time window when you cook it and it's perfect... Wait a few seconds and you get a pap.

Ive cooked buckwheat.... turned out a mush....
My birds don't seem to like it much...
I cook lentils, peas, beans, sprouts, carrots,
and a couple of different mix of dried nuts.
They go mad for this.
