At least one of my birds is having running poop. I know he was landing on the uncovered front porch cement floor. I am afraid its not the cleanest place in the world.
It doesn't seem to be very bad, the stool isn't formed though and he is acting a bit down.
Its too late to take him to the vet today. If he looks bad, I will take him tomorrow.
What can I do in a meantime? I remember about Cayenne pepper but how do I give it? or what else?

Keep him warm. You can put a heating pad under half the cage, or cover one end of the cage with a towel and shine a lamp on it so the heat goes into the cage. Make sure the lamp is not so close that it could set the towel on fire. You only heat half the cage so he can move to the other side if he gets too warm.

Providing electrolytes is very beneficial. If you have Pedialyte or a sports drink like Gatorade you can give them that to drink, or you can make your own using this simple recipe: http://www.webmd.com/hw-popup/rehydrati ... ar=hw86827

A small amount of cayenne pepper sprinkled in the food may or may not be helpful. It won't do any harm anyway.

Thanks. He is not in the cage and actually doing not so bad.
A whole situation is just stressful. Trillie is bullying everyone. They are all frozen. Not eating much.

oh my. This birds are SO conservative.
I bought cayenne pepper and sprinkled on bread and on rice with eggs - I realized I can't sprinkle it on seed mix or pellets. I read - add to fresh food.
They usually love rice and egg. Some ate some but others were suspicious and didn't eat. usually it gets eaten rather well.
Nobody even touched the bread so I had to turn it around, peppered side down.

I also made for them "Alive and well" tablet (dissolved in water). Not sure again if it's getting drunk. Supposed to be a product that doesn't deter them, right?

After a few day observation, I still think that Sparkle is the one whose poop doesn't look good.
I line bottom of the cage with paper towel at night to watch poop in the morning. All my birds have poop that is kinda dark green (+white part), more like a pine fur tree color, when it dries out it looks almost black.
He (or somebody else, hard to say but probably him) has a poop that has discoloration in green, its like faded olive green, not intense.
He is still active and his behavior probably wouldn't attract my attention if I wasn't watching poop.

Can this be normal or should I take him to the vet?

Do you know whether his eating habits are different from the other birds? If he doesn't eat all the same foods they do, it could make the poop look different.

I don't think its very different. But of course, anybody has preferences. For example, he is craving fresh bread (some other birds won't touch it). Some birds love rice and egg when I make it, other are not so keen. In the rest, they eat pretty much the same

If you're seriously concerned that he might be sick, it's best to take him to the vet.
