Hello everyone.... Obi is sick again....
He has been diagnosed with Vitamin A deficiency.....
Has to have a course of antibiotics.... plus a syringe
Feed of carrot juice.... for the rest of his life....
I'm going to be giving him lots of different juiced
veggies and fruit.... hopefully this will build him
up well..... so pleased to have an answer to him
being so unwell.
I've tried to give him lots of veggies and fruit....
but he just doesn't eat any.... hope this will
be ok.
I'm an old hand at the juicer as I do it for myself
every morning.....so it's watch out Obi.....
I can also give him the fibre from the veggies...
Will let you know how it goes....

Carrots are good for delivering the beta carotene needed to make vitamin A. Hopefully he'll be able to adjust to it so he takes it willingly instead of putting up a fight.

You don't seem to be having a lot of luck with your flock. Sending loads of positive vibes!

Have you tried making a very fine chop and sprinkling a bit of seed through it so he HAS to taste it? I find some birds are quite frustrating when it comes to fresh food but that's how I've been trying to get around it with seed junkies that don't want to know anything else

Let us know how you get on with him :)
